Terms of service
WallMock terms of service
Short answer: These terms cover using wallmock.com and the WallMock app: your account, plans and credits, cancelling, refunds, using your mockups commercially, and the law that applies (Alberta, Canada). Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and WallMock, based in Alberta, Canada, for using the WallMock website at wallmock.com and the WallMock app at app.wallmock.com (together, "WallMock"). By creating an account, signing in, buying a plan or using WallMock, you agree to these terms, the Refund policy and the Privacy policy. If you use WallMock for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.
Contact: hello@wallmock.com. We reply by email, usually within 2 business days.
What WallMock does, and AI rooms
WallMock places your artwork into digitally staged room scenes, with rendered frames, canvas edges and mats, so you can make mockup images for your shop listings, website and social media. Previews are made in your browser; clean full-size images are counted in credits.
WallMock's room backgrounds are AI-generated scenes chosen for mockups. They are not photographs of anyone's home or proof that a product was made or installed. Your artwork is placed into the scene without being redrawn by AI; resizing, placement, perspective, lighting and file compression affect how it looks. Frame finishes, colours and sizes are illustrative and are not a proof of any supplier's exact product.
Your account
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a plan.
- Sign in with an email code or with Google. Keep access to your email secure: you are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One person, one free account. Making extra accounts to get more free images, previews or refunds is not allowed.
- Give us a real email address you can receive mail at. Temporary email services aren't accepted.
Plans, credits and payment
- Prices. Plans, their prices in your currency and their monthly credits are on the Plans page. Before you pay, checkout shows the total you will be charged, the currency and how often. Sales tax is added where it applies.
- Renewal. Plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, at the price shown until you cancel. An annual plan is paid upfront for the year.
- Credits. One credit is one clean full-size image. Every plan adds its credits each month, annual plans included. Unused credits end with their month; they don't roll over. Watermarked previews are free. Failed, cancelled and unconfirmed images never use credits, and downloading an image you already paid for again is free.
- No cash value. Credits, free credits and rewards have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and end when your plan or account ends.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Price changes. We may change prices. A new price applies to your plan from your next renewal after we tell you by email, so you can cancel before it applies. Founding prices stay while that subscription stays active.
- Mistakes in prices. If a price was shown by obvious mistake, we may cancel that purchase and refund it in full.
- Changing plans. An upgrade starts when its payment is confirmed; you pay the difference for the rest of the period, as calculated by Stripe, and get the extra credits. A downgrade or a switch between monthly and annual starts at your next renewal. Plan changes are never refunded in cash.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time yourself, without contacting us: Billing & plans, then Manage subscription. Your plan and its credits continue to the end of the period you paid for and then stop renewing. Cancelling does not refund the current period; the Refund policy explains when a refund applies.
Refunds
In short: a new subscriber can ask for a refund within 14 days of their first payment, and we refund what they paid minus the credits they used. Renewals aren't refundable, except an accidental renewal with no credits used, within 7 days. The full rules, with examples, are in the Refund policy.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please email us first: most billing problems are fixed within a day. If you dispute a payment with your bank, we may pause your account and hold the credits from that payment until the dispute is resolved. If the dispute is decided in your favour, that payment's plan ends. Repeated or unfounded disputes may lead us to close the account.
Using your mockups commercially
Use your clean WallMock downloads to promote and sell your artwork: shop listings, online stores, websites, social posts, advertisements, print-on-demand product pages and client presentations. WallMock gives you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to the room scenes and rendered frames inside those finished images, for as long as you use them, including after you cancel or close your account. You may resize, crop and add your branding.
- Previews carry a watermark and are for trying things out. Keep the watermark; use a clean download for a listing or advertisement.
- Not allowed: extracting, reselling or giving away WallMock room scenes, frames or finished mockups as stock images, templates, PSDs or mockup packs of their own.
- Honest listings: don't present a digitally staged room as a photo of your product hanging in someone's home where your marketplace forbids it, and check frame, mat and size against what you actually sell. Follow your marketplace's rules (for example Etsy's photo rules).
Keep your downloaded files: WallMock does not promise to keep them for you.
Your artwork and content
- You keep all rights in the artwork, logos and other files you use with WallMock. We claim no ownership of them.
- You must own your artwork or have permission to use it. Don't upload work that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, or that is illegal, hateful, sexual involving minors, or meant to deceive.
- You give WallMock permission to process your files only to make, show and deliver your images and to keep the service secure. In the published rooms your artwork is processed in your browser; anything sent to our servers is handled as the Privacy policy describes. We don't sell your files, show them publicly or use them to train AI.
- If someone claims your artwork infringes their rights, we may remove it or pause the account while we look into it. Report a rights concern to hello@wallmock.com.
Fair use of the service
Don't break, overload, scrape, copy or reverse-engineer WallMock; don't get around credits, watermarks, limits or security; don't use bots or scripts to make images or accounts; and don't resell access to WallMock. We may limit, pause or close accounts that do.
What belongs to WallMock
WallMock's room scenes, frames, software, designs, text and brand belong to WallMock or its licensors. Apart from the licence above, these terms give you no rights in them.
Changes to WallMock and to these terms
- WallMock keeps improving. We may add, change or retire rooms, frames, features and plans, and the service may pause for maintenance.
- We may update these terms, the Refund policy and the Privacy policy at any time. The new version applies from the date shown at the top of the page. If a change materially affects paying customers, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it applies, and changes to your price or plan apply from your next renewal. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then; using WallMock after a change takes effect means you accept it.
Pausing or closing accounts
You can close your account at any time in Profile & settings. We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, misuses payments or refunds, or where the law requires it; in that case no refund is due for the current period. If we close your account for no fault of yours, or stop offering WallMock, we'll refund the unused part of your current paid period.
What we can't promise
We work hard to keep WallMock available, accurate and secure, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always be available or error-free, that a marketplace will accept your images, or that your listings will sell. Judge each image before you publish it.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, WallMock is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales, lost data or damage to reputation, and our total liability for all claims about WallMock is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. You agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses if someone makes a claim against us because of the content you uploaded or because you used WallMock in a way these terms don't allow.
Your consumer rights, and the law that applies
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded, including Alberta's Consumer Protection Act. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If something goes wrong, email us first and give us 30 days to put it right. Any dispute that we can't settle together goes to the courts of Alberta, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.
The rest
These terms, the Refund policy and the Privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and WallMock about WallMock. If any part can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer this agreement if WallMock is sold or reorganised; you may not transfer it without our OK. We aren't responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. We may send you notices by email or in the app.
